Learn all about Exo Terra Terrarium, monsoon, waterfall, incubator and problems related to the terrariums.

Terrariums are great for reptiles that require a little more moisture in their habitat, as wooden vivariums are in danger of warping when things get damp. Glass terrariums also give you a better view of your reptile or arachnid in their habitat too, most coming with completely glass sides and a mesh lid for ventilation.

The unique design of the Exo Terra Waterfall can be installed anywhere in the terrarium. Water circulation is provided by the Exo Terra Repti Flo pump (included). The waterfall consists of several parts to facilitate cleaning. For safety reasons, the walls of the collection tank are rough in order to allow reptiles and amphibians to climb out easily, thus avoiding any danger of drowning.

As an additional safety measure, for smaller chameleons and frogs, small stones or gravel may be added to the collection tank. Organic waste should be removed from the collection tank at regular intervals to keep the water clean. Tap water should be treated with Aquatize to remove chlorine and heavy metals. Adding Biotize will help to keep the water cleaner longer, as well as promoting necessary beneficial bacteria and reducing odors associated with decaying waste.

The Exo Terra Incubator enables you to replicate the natural incubation conditions required to promote a successful hatch. By maintaining a constant temperature and appropriate humidity, this versatile hatchery helps prevent avoidable egg loss caused by extreme temperature fluctuations.

Exo terra Terrarium

The Exo Terra Glass Terrarium is the ideal reptile or amphibian housing designed by European herpetologists. The front opening doors allow easy access for maintenance and feeding. A specially designed lock will prevent escape and the doors can be opened separately. The full screen top ventilation allows UVB and infrared penetration, and is completely removable for easy access while decorating or cleaning. The Rock Terrarium Background from Exo Terra is an easy to cut background with an incredible natural look. It creates a multi-dimensional habitat ideal for climbing reptiles or can be simply used to beautify the natural terrarium. Its colour and texture is the same like all Exo Terra natural terrarium decoration to create a perfectly harmonized environment, humid or dry.

Exo terra Monsoon

The Exo Terra Monsoon RS400 is a programmable misting system suitable for all types of terrariums and greenhouses. It helps maintain optimal humidity by generating a fine mist at programmed intervals, the duration and frequency of which can be easily adjusted depending on the type of animal or plant housed. Frequent misting helps stimulate breeding behaviour, and is a necessity when housing live tropical plants such as Bromeliads, orchids, mosses, etc.

Exo terra waterfall

Exo Terra Waterfall brings the natural look of a small, cascading stream into your living room. Often used by reptiles and amphibians to hydrate, these little waterfalls and streams are an important feature in every tropical environment. The cascading water stimulates the natural drinking behavior of lizards (like: chameleons, anoles, water dragons, etc.).

Exo terra Incubator

The Exo Terra Reptile Incubator uses thermoelectric technology which enables the device to cool and to heat. The temperature can be easily set using the digital control. The incubator has a transparent door and interior lighting to easily monitor the incubation and hatching process. Unlike conventional incubators, the Exo Terra Incubator automatically starts cooling when the temperature exceeds the set incubation temperature and automatically switches back to heating mode when the temperature drops below the set incubation temperature. The incubator has a transparent door and interior lighting to easily monitor the incubation and hatching process. The temperature range is approximately 2C to 60C (36F to 140F), depending on the ambient room temperature. The temperature can be easily set using the digital control; and the bright-light LED display indicates the current incubation temperature.

Exo terra Problems

Exo terra problems are of different types. Some are the exo terra fogger problems, exo terra waterfall problems, exo terra humidity and temperature regulation problems and exo terra light dome problems. A few problems we have found using these Exo Terra waterfalls in our display include the reservoir running low through evaporation and the pump being very intolerant of running dry (they burn out quite quickly if the go dry), blockage of the pump from substrate or dead crickets etc. and the just awkwardness of the assembly to clean out leading to the water being left a little too long and going off. It really is just too much work to do every couple of days, especially if you have the Exo Terra waterfall in amongst a complex display.
