Dear Ask, we miss you so!
Our friend through 8 years disappeared without a trace from our home, April 2008. It came as a shock to us. He was always so connected to us, and never went far from home. He was also xtremely careful when it came to cars.
We have spent hours and days searching for him. Endless hours trawling all of Moss and big parts of Eastern Norway in the pursuit. Constantly checking websites and newspapers. Putting up posters and adds. But still no trace. Later we have received information that gives us reason to believe that Ask was killed by a wild animal the same day as he disappeared.
However there is still a trace of hope left and we still keep our eyes open.

Ask came to us summer 2000. His mother was Persian and his father....well....nobody know for sure.
He instantly charmed us and everyone he came in contact with. More than once we had visitors that claimed that they were not too fond of cats, but when they left, well, Ask had managed to change their view on this.
A happy neutered male, he guarded his garden with great enthusiasm, but was quick to hide behind us when big scary, fertile males appeared.
Many times we wondered if he knew that he was different from us.......
He gave us so much love and affection.
Ask we are privileged that you chose to spend eight years in our company. There are not many like you.
We hope and trust that you are in a good and happy place and that we will meet again one day.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
